What to Expect
-
Your first visit at Strong Ties Oral Health includes a comprehensive airway and jaw evaluation. We assess nasal breathing, oral posture, jaw size, symmetry, bite function, tongue mobility, signs of tongue-tie, facial growth, sleep and behavioral symptoms in kids. Using advanced digital imaging like CBCT scans and airway measurements, we develop a personalized care plan supporting whole-body health.
-
No referral is needed. Whether you’re a parent concerned about mouth breathing or an adult exploring palatal expansion or TMJ relief, you can schedule directly with us.
-
Plan for about 60–75 minutes. We take our time to:
Get a full health history
Capture detailed images and facial records
Perform a functional exam of the jaws, bite, and airway
Walk you through next steps and answer all your questions
We aim to give you clarity and real answers.
-

A CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scan is a powerful 3D imaging tool that allows us to look far beyond what standard dental x-rays can show. We recommend it for teens, adults, and kids over age 6 because it helps us:
Assess airway size and nasal passageways
Evaluate jaw alignment, bone growth, and bite
Detect any impacted teeth, TMJ issues, or asymmetries
Safely plan treatments like MSE, MARPE, or tongue-tie release
For airway-focused care, it is crucial to see the complete picture, not just the teeth. CBCT offers the accuracy needed for tailored and effective treatment strategies.
Note: We do not typically take CBCT scans on children under age 6 unless clinically necessary.
It’s time to prioritize your well-being.
